New Moon Movie.

I was lucky enough to buy tickets of New Moon 1 week in advance for the first day screening. I wasn't too excited but I was definitely looking forward to watching it.

So yesterday, my 2 cousins and I were set to meet up at the mall an hour before the screening time. There were a lot of teenagers, young kids with their Moms and couples lobbying outside the movie house and lined up at the entrance. I suddenly felt a bit excited to see Robert Pattinson again.

The movie house was FULL. No seats vacant.

...

...

The End.

I wasn't too happy with the movie. I wasn't even close to being satisfied. It was okay. The Twilight movie, the first one, was way better than New Moon and I was even disappointed with it. Yeah. I'm such a spoiler. Not that I regret watching it or anything but my favorite conversation of Edward and Bella in the book was not included in the movie and it was to die for! Grr. I also think that the movie was kind of hurried or rushed or.... okay, a little (just a little) mediocre for my taste. I ended up listening to my audiobook version and reading the book before going to bed last night. I just had to feel that feeling I felt when I first read it. Sigh.

You guys should see it for yourselves though. Maybe it will appeal to some of you. :) I know some who were happy with the movie. I guess it's not really good when you have read the book and then you go see the movie. At least not in this case.

I give it a 5 out of 10. 5 all because of Edward. :)

Blog Award from Marie.

Pacquiao's win against Cotto was the perfect ending of the week and so I am going to start the week with a positive vibe and post this award that I've received from Marie last week. I super appreciate receiving blog awards because it makes me feel like there's at least one person out there who takes time to visit and read my blog and some of my thoughts interesting enough to keep them coming (or so I think, lol).

I think I received the same award from before but I'd still post this. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I don't have the luxury of time to look for 15 blogs to share this award with but I'll put this up and let 15 blogger friends take this award. Just let me know.

I have just been too busy with my online assignment, I haven't been able to update my blogs anymore and visit other blogs as well. Hopefully super busy days will be less this coming week. My brain was almost fried from last week's work and not that I'm complaining but the topic wasn't my "forte" so I'm having a bit of difficulty with it. I'll get through this.

Time for scheduled posts and catching up this Sunday night.

Have a great, happy week ahead and see you guys on the weekend. I'll try to take a peek when I get the chance. ;)

It's Monday again and it's time for Music Monday. This is only my second or third time to participate and my song for today is a little sentimental. I have heard this while watching One Tree Hill I think because Katy Voegele, the artist is a regular guest star on the show and her songs are amazing. This one in particular is AMAZING.

Listen and let me know. :)

And he made history!

Once again, Manny Pacquiao proved that he is the best boxer there is in today's generation by winning against Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto in today's boxing match. I was hoping for a total KO in between 5th-8th rounds but stopping the match in the middle of the 12th round is as much as a victory already. Today, he made history by being the only boxer to have 7 titles to his name. Hurray!

I gotta give it to Cotto, he was strong and he did win the first round. He fell down to his knees in 2 rounds but was able to stand up and last up to 12 rounds. The referee had to stop it cos Cotto was bleeding bad already. I personally think it should have been stopped as early as the 10th round.

It was also cool reading several Hollywood celebs tweeting about watching Pacquiao vs. Cotto match and rooting for our main man. Here are some that I saw earlier:

I am starting to love Joel Madden :) He's pretty cool. And I saw So there, today was spent watching Pacquiao, talking about Pacquiao, Facebook-ing about Pacquiao, Tweeting about Pacquiao and blogging about Pacquiao. It's not like I'm going to receive any shopping money from him for all the cheers and intense anxiety that I felt earlier but it's a pride moment for all Filipinos. I am not a huge fan of boxing, no. But when it's Pacquiao, Filipino spirits soar high!

Congratulations, Manny Pacquiao!

Why, BB?

My good ol' BB is slowly saying bye bye to me. First, the camera won't work and now the whole photo album won't open. Fantastic! I think it's still fine and I can still use it until next year as long as the call and text work perfectly fine.

I have no plans of getting a new phone any time soon. I was honestly thinking of replacing it on my next birthday which is like 7 months from now. Enough time for me to save up or ask my Mom for it as a birthday present or something. Yes, I would definitely wait until then.

*sigh*

Beautiful World - Carolina Liar

This song has been my favorite since I heard it months ago. Once I start to listen to this
on my iPod or my iTunes, I can't stop myself from repeating it.
I know Music Monday is over obviously because it's already Wednesday but I feel like sharing
this to all of you as I'm listening to it in my background (I told you, I can't stop once I start).

I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. The lyrics personally struck me although it's a little pessimistic
if you read it/listen to it carefully BUT the beat of the song contradicted it making the message of the song sound
hopeful and positive.

Exactly my sentiments. EXACTLY. I think for the time being, this is going to be my "life song".

It's weird that the video has 0:00 in its time but it actually plays. So please listen to it. :)

You guys have any "life song"? Would love to know and listen to it too!

Happy Wednesday!!

Friday Thought.

I noticed this week has been a quotation week for me and I'm loving it. I should have this more often. ;) Oh, it wasn't intentional though, it just happened and with a specific "subject" at that. These quotations are speaking directly to me.

"We are tested by major changes, delayed promises, impossible problems, unanswered prayers, undeserved criticisms and even senseless tragedies. But the good news is that God wants us to pass the tests of life. So He never allows the tests we face to be greater than the grace He gives us."
- a quote my friend sent me via SMS

*Sigh*

Goodnight friends! I feel so mentally exhausted right now and thank heavens for weekends. Will probably sleep, rest and sleep tomorrow. :)

Happy weekend!

Thursday Thought.

Remember my Tuesday Thought? Well, I took a break and caught up with my Grey's Anatomy for the week.

This was what hit me in the episode:

"There's always a way. When things look like there's no way, there's a way. To do the impossible, to survive the in-survivable, there's always a way."
-Grey's Anatomy

Enough said. Grey's Anatomy is speaking for me. ;)

Tuesday Thought.

"I need to psych up more and focus! I'm losing hope and I think that's what's worse than having no job... losing hope."
-Mara de Guzman

Some good quotations about Hope (or at least those that applies to me):

George Bernard Shaw: "He who has never hoped can never despair."

Erik Erikson: "Hope is both the earliest and the most indispensable virtue inherent in the stage of being alive. If life is to be sustained hope must remain, even when confidence is ruined, trust impaired."

Winston Churchill: "The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."

So much for me being proactive in the past weeks. I tried. You guys know I tried, right? I tried HARD.
Today however, I will give in and let out my frustrations... yet again. SORRY! I know I've been going on and on about me having difficulties landing a job, on and on about my financial constraints and then on and on about finally psyching myself up, feeling all happy like I have finally made peace with my worries but then... there are days like today. Today, where I am at a low point again and what's worse is that I actually have something to look forward to because I got an online stint which will help me pay and save up. Yesterday, I was feeling motivated. I went and apply to 3 companies again feeling high (in a natural good way) and hopeful then today I woke up feeling anxious, frustrated, confused and LOST.

Sorry, I'm bipolar.

I'll make it up tomorrow, hopefully! :) :) :) :)

P.S.
I think I'm going to start doing my scheduled posts days or even a week in advance to prepare for my online stint schedule for this month. I think that's part of my feeling anxious. I worry too much. I'm having a cup of coffee right now and it's helping a little.

All Souls' Day.

November 2, All Souls' Day and I went earlier today to visit my Dad.

I miss him every single day.

I posted this video on my Facebook page and thought that I should also share it here with you guys. This is a very sweet, sad and timely video for this "occasion".

My Dad didn't allow me to ride a bike so I don't know how.

My Dad won't be able to walk me down the aisle when I get married.

And I wasn't there with him when he breathe his last breath.

But I cried watching this video. I cried for the times that did not happen and would not happen anymore.
I cried because I wasn't there to say "you can let go now, Daddy" but I think it was much okay that way because
I know I wouldn't have the strength to say it to him.
I cried because I'm still not okay. I cried because even though Daddy didn't teach me how to ride a bike, he taught
me how to carry myself. He may not be able to walk me down the aisle but he was there walking down the aisle with
me during my grade school and high school graduation and it broke my heart that he was 5 months gone before my college graduation.

My one frustration is that I didn't get to hug and kiss him one last time. That is what's breaking my heart until now.

I love you Daddy.

Top Droppers for October.

I think I missed posting my Top Droppers for September and this is me making up for it. Sorry!! Please don't think I have forgotten all about you... no way that's ever going to happen! I was just pre-occupied during the past few months and I feel lost.

Before I share another drama post, I would like to thank my Top Droppers for the month of October. You guys rock!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I hope you continue visiting me and please don't forget to leave me comments. I love hearing from my readers. Your comments and messages are like my daily dose of vitamins in the blogging world.

And since we are on the topic of Entrecard, I would also like to inform everybody that after debating with myself and hearing my readers' suggestion-- I finally made a decision and decided to keep my Entrecard widget in both my blogs, Mara's Personal Bubble and Mara's Appetite. But to make things clear, I would only be dropping at least 50 cards a day unlike my 300 before. Sorry about this. I will make sure however that I will visit you back within the week. :) Please understand that it's too time consuming to be dropping 300 cards a day and I'm not even sure that those 300 will drop back. I decided to exert my effort to a much more "productive" way of earning.

I will see you guys again this month... okay? Yes? Yes? Yes?
