UAPP, Dinner, Birthdays and UAAP.

My September is mostly about the Ateneo vs. La Salle games, dinner with High School friends and College friends' birthday celebrations.  Here are some photos, most photos are on my Multiply account.

Hail, Hail!
With Anna. Go Green!
Dinner with 2 of my high school friends: Apol and Abs.
Happy birthday Cathy! Blow your...candle!
With my 2 favorites: Kiko and Rox.
The first couple: Cathy, the birthday girl and Jeff Poon, the mastermind.
Past 1AM and we're still standing. With Rox, Anna, Kiko and Joseph.
Happy Birthday Jelo!!

With some of my friends: Kiko, Rox, Jelo and Janna.
One of the yummiest chocolate cake I've ever tasted.
Jelo, the birthday boy and me.
I'm not looking good here courtesy of 3 bottles of San Mig light and chocolate cake plus the fact that I feel so sleepy already and it's raining hard outside.
From my phone: A photo of me and my inay, Ms. E. She's wearing white just to be safe cos we were seated at the boundary of Green and Blue and I'm green and she's the latter.

The Champions: Ateneo Blue Eagles
The photo's kind of blurry, it's the last shot from my cam cos I was low batt already.

Painful Friday.

Eagle Eye Movie Poster
photo from: divxplanet on flickr

I've been waiting for this movie for some time. The trailer is intriguing and looks good. I am supposed to watch it today with my friend, Cathy, but I am suffering for the pains of monthly womanhood. It hurts like hell. I don't experience this often but this time's a little too painful than before. I can't even keep my attention to one thing.

Also, I have been planning on uploading some photos here today about my past few days: more Cathy's Surprise Birthday Party, Jelo's Birthday Celebration and yesterday's defeat of La Salle. I'll do it later, I PROMISE! I'll just let a little of this pain go away so I can keep my focus.

Later,
Mara

The defeat of the defending champions.

The final score. Our losing score.

My title says it all. The defending champions, De La Salle Green Archers, lost to the Ateneo Blue Eagles. It was a good game but not good enough to keep up the score and win. I'm not an expert or even close to being good at giving reviews about basketball games but I can say that the Green Archers really had a chance to win this game and extend the season until Sunday. They scored first, they were able to tie up and even lead the game at some point but there's just one thing that's lacking. Something was wrong and I don't know what it is. I'm not saying Ateneo was not good, they played great but seriously we could've made this season until Sunday. I also felt sad when Rico was thrown out of the playing court. He could've helped the team catch up with the 47-50 end of 3rd quarter score.

Could have.

Oh well, congrats to the Blue Eagles. There's always next season for us and we'll definitely get the title back.

ANIMO LA SALLE!

Second Day Finals.

A quick update (which is quite not an update anymore since it's been 2 days, but whatever.):

La Salle lost in the first game and I know most of my frequent readers already heard about it. It's kind of sad cos I was looking forward to watching Game 2 live this Thursday. Now I just lost the mood. Probably when they win this Thursday, I'll watch the last and final game which is Game 3 on Sunday---live.

Pray they win!

Hugs,
Mara

Just random.

I noticed I haven't posted for days, that's mainly because I'm just stuck here at home and I can't think of what to type but I promised myself I'm going to blog whether I have something to type about or none. And like heaven sent, while I was checking my Multiply account I read my schoolmate's blog entry and I'm going to link it cos it's kind of like what I'm thinking right now.

Here's something from Shibbie's entry:

"I think random things are the best topics to write about.
Anything random,
anything which doesn't make sense to others
but what makes sense to yourself
is what matters."

Cathy, one of my dearest friend's 23rd surprise birthday party last Friday and that's her cake.

I know, funny and eeky right?

Good thing we're all fans of a little sense of humor and green jokes.

Happy Birthday Cathy!

Go La Salle!

I can't wait for Sunday cos it's THE day. The UAAP Finals and it's DLSU vs. ADMU. This is their first time to face each other again in the Finals since 2002 and I can't wait for La Salle to kick some ass this season. Although I'll be such a loser cos I'll be watching it on TV instead of live, those freakin' scalpers give outrageous prices for the tickets. I hope I can get one in Araneta for Thursday's game (Game 2). I really wanna wanna wanna wanna wanna watch it live in action and probably watch the replay again on TV the same night. Hahaha!

Speaking of La Salle, I got my DLSAA Alumni Card yesterday and my picture is freakin' awful. Will post pic later and see for yourself.

Mara

I'm currently singing:

Do Something - Britney Spears

I don't know why. I've just started singing that song for hours now and I can't get it out of my head.

"I see you looking at me like I'm some kind of freak...." :)

Anyway, my day started with a phone call from Mississippi. Yeah, that call that I've posted here weeks ago. I kind of turned the offer down. Kind of. It was more of a hold rather than a turn down but I think the agency based here failed to inform the employer about my decision. I was nervous and wondering at the moment that's why I didn't understand the name of the caller. It sounded like "Natalie" but he definitely sounded like a HE. So, he was all friendly at first but when I said that I put my application on hold he was like: "Oh okay. Bye then." his tone changed with that. Okay fine. I wasn't even expecting for that call anymore.

Next thing, our new refrigerator arrived right after the phone call. Sweet! :) And then, we have a new house help. She's too quiet, I'm scared of "quietness". She might have an attitude.

On another topic, I'll be buying a new cellphone probably this week. I'll post pics soon!

A Little Help About Adsense, anyone?

Just this morning, as I was browsing through my usual website routine I came across an Adsense topic and I got interested so I signed up for an account. Unfortunately, I used another e-mail address and another one here in Blogger, when I tried logging in here I got the address that I signed up for in my Adsense account and I tried changing it to this e-mail address but I can't cos another user is supposedly existing so I though it must be. I logged out and logged in using this one but it says the e-mail address doesn't exist in their records. Whatever. I'm so confused.

How does this thing work anyway?

La Salle Won!

After my bitterness last Saturday, La Salle finally won today against FEU. Wuhoo! They are now in the 2nd place and has the twice-to-beat advantage.

Next game will be on Sunday against FEU again.
Oh please, win!

I love Atkins, second to Casio and Maierhofer. :)

Green vs. Blue...and the Blue won!

I just came from the game of La Salle vs. Ateneo. I've been waiting for this day for a month, I even stood in line for almost 6 hours just to get tickets and this, this is how it ended.

La Salle lost. They freakin' lost the game! They didn't even managed to get ahead! What the eff were they doing?? Really. I had the feeling they're going to lose the moment they weren't able to shoot 3 consecutive baskets. Ugh! I lost 1k for Upper B tickets (2) to the scalper, my voice, the time I spent falling in line and ended up not getting any, to them losing. LOSING. I was cheering for UE just last Thursday for them to break the FEU and DLSU tie for the 2nd place and both of them lost, meaning they're still effin' tied. Total UPSET.

FEU and DLSU are scheduled for Thursday, September 11 at 4PM. Please Archers, win!

D-LS-U! Animo La Salle!!

Will upload photos in my Multiply account maybe tomorrow. I'm so tired.
Maybe I'll post one or two here too. :)

See yah!
