Mother-less Mother's Day!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOTHERS OUT THERE!!!

I honestly almost forgot that it's Mother's Day today. I know it's this May and all but I'm not just feeling it cos my own mother is not here and we rarely talk on the phone or exchange text messages (especially now with the ass guy thing). I did sent her a greeting though. I greeted my friends, sent them messages and posts on Facebook and to all my blog friends who are Mothers: Mommy MariaFedhzAte PehpotGrandy,Redhead RantingLisgold, and all my Mommy visitors: Happy Mother's Day to all of you!! :)

Since I am "mother-less" in this occasion, I spent my day sleeping in late, watching my dose of CSI's on cable, chatting to friends online and then heading out to go to the mall for some Frozen Yogurt and my very much needed Nail Spa. My nails were begging me to have them cleaned cos it has been a month and 5 days already since my last appointment and my nails were getting longer than I wanted and my nail polish were chipping off.

I am back to Earth colors again since my previous polish was Violet. I don't think I posted a picture of it here. I'll go look. I'm sure I have it somewhere on my phone. In the meantime, the above photo is my recent Mani/Pedi. Nice?

Red Mango in Megamall. I don't really go to that mall cos it's always crowded with lots of kids running around and parents chasing them and people bumping into each other and I am not a fan of that kind of environment. I hyperventilate so it's not advisable for me to be going to places especially malls, church, etc. with lots of people.
Anyway, my friend has been raving about this frozen yogurt for quite some time now and I got really curios hence my visit to Megamall. I love frozen yogurts and it's either I have them at California Berry, Lulu Belle's or FroYo, just these 3 places. And since my friend was convincing enough and I trust her when it comes to food, I gave in and gave Red Mango a try and man was she right! Red Mango's frozen yogurt was creamy and more "yogurt-y" than the other 3 especially Lulu Belle's. If I arrange them in order of my preference it would go like this:

1. Red Mango
2. FroYo
3. California Berry
10. Lulu Belle

Lulu Belle is a little bland.

I ordered for a Medium Original with Peaches for toppings. I was on for Strawberries but unfortunately it was not available. Peaches are the next best thing! I love it! I will definitely be back for more. I just hope I find a branch that is less crowded and still near my place.

WOOT! This is going to be another busy week for me...or so I'm thinking. :)

Back to Neutral.

First things first, I had my Nail Spa appointment last week Wednesday in time for Saturday's Homecoming. I don't know why I haven't posted it here yet but here goes. I have about 2 entries pending that I forgot to publish. Excuse my being forgetfulness at times, I just felt so excited then.

I am missing my Hot Pink nail polish cos as of Wednesday of last week I went back to a much lighter coat. Neutral to the point of almost being colorless. Next time I'll have a neutral color on I'd choose a more solid one.

See what I mean? It looks like I don't have any polish on. Looks nice though, clean and all but after a while... well, no gloss anymore so my nails really look "bare".

What d'ya guys think? Suits me?

Pink Shmink!

I have my usual Nail Spa appointment every two weeks. My nail polish take turns from Red to Neutral colors and there were times I tried Green and Yellow which I posted here on my earlier entries. Last Wednesday I had my usual nail spa service and tried another color.

PINK!

It's nice, no? This picture didn't really give it justice but yeah, I love the color. So summer-y. :)

Okay, I found one picture that's much closer to the shade than the pic posted above.

Sorry for the crazy "pose". Haha! So there, I can't stop looking at my nails cos of this. Crazyyyyyy.

The After Treat.

My final interview is done and I am not ecstatic about it. I am so not in the mood to elaborate further and I'm not being pessimistic when I tell you guys that I don't think I'll get the job but I'm about 90% sure about it. I saw the HR Director's face and I'm pretty good at reading people's faces. So there. On the brighter side, I don't feel upset or the least disappointed about it. I am unbelievably calm and positive about other things.

Anyway, after the hunting feeling of nervousness and anxiety over the now-done final interview that I've been talking about it here for weeks now, I treated myself with my usual Nail Spa appointment and had early dinner at Secret Recipe with my Mom.

Hello Yellow. :)

Kids' Fish and Chips.

Mee Goreng.

Food prices in Secret Recipe are very affordable and worth it. They have Asian food, American and Italian. Their prices range from about 120-500 per meal. I wanted to try out their pastries but I'm too full already. Their cakes look really yummy and I would definitely try their Mango Madness and their Chocolate Banana Cake since I read it's two of their bestsellers.

Tomorrow is gonna be another food trip for me so I'll be posting more food entries--again! :)

I AM SO GREEN......

My nails are. That is.

After weeks of having my nails "color-less", I gave in and have it painted again yesterday at Nail Spa.

The shade of green is weird though. I think it's OPI nail polish-- Green-wich blah blah shade.

Nice? Not? It's my first time to try this color on. I'm usually all red, beige, french tip or tan. I just got curious with this one, I was supposed to try yellow or blue. Haha!

My Nail Polish-less.

I think this is the first time this year that my nails don't have either Red, Beige, or Pink painted on it. I figured it's worth blogging about. Haha!

Of course, Mani and Pedi at Nail Spa in Shangri-La this time with Mommy. I just really need to have my nails trimmed already so Mommy and I settled for the Express service cos I'm also in a hurry to go home and get dressed for Rihanna and Chris Brown's concert later that day. We'll talk about that later. Oh, this happened yesterday by the way.

Thanks again to Nail Spa for my manicure and pedicure. They really know how to care for my nails (or maybe because I've been going there since.....years ago). Try 'em out and see for yourself why I don't let ANYONE do my nails. I only go to Nail Spa. They have several services available like Express Hands, Express Feet, Pamper Hands, Pamper Feet, etc etc. Their prices range to P195-P2,000.

You can visit them at the 5th floor of the Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City.
