Friday Night Out.

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't been around here much. I'm giving more attention to my new blog since I still have a few regulars there compared to the number of readers and visitors that I get here in my personal blog. So in case some of you has not been to my new blog please drop by by clicking on my badge on the upper right side of my sidebar. I would appreciate it a lot if you could leave comments too. That blog of mine is still a baby and needs support. :)

Anyways, I'm back here for my promise: my friday night out photos. My friends uploaded them already and remember when I said I don't remember everything and I only got memories of small things? Well, when I saw the photos I realized I only remember teeny-weeny details, not small, just teeny-weeny.

I may appear normal, but believe me I had no recollection of majority of the photos uploaded. And so to protect the image of yours truly, I am only posting normal looking photos of me. LOL. Nobody would want to see me face down on the floor, sitting outside on the rain, sleeping on the table, etc. etc.
I still cannot believe I had that much fun with only a hundred pesos ($2) on me.

Me with my friend Mitch (who is also the older brother of my friend and also one of the owners of the place) and their friend Kirk.

Me with Anna.

Me with our friend, Bert (who is also a part owner) and Bettina.

Me. I swear I cannot remember this photo being taken.

Incomplete group photo. I wonder where the others were.

The other photos were just crazy silly ones, and stolen shots too. Out of the hundred photos I have, only these are "presentable" enough to post here in my blog. Hahaha!

Fun night, fun night except for the day after and the bruise that I got.

I wonder how this Friday would be... hmm.

Thank heavens for friends and distractions.

I was able to go out last Friday night. My friend, Anna and her bf picked me up at home but it was only Anna and I who were together the whole night since her bf had to work. It was fun. The food was great (I would talk about that on my other blog), the band was good, and it was more fun when one of my BFF's showed up unexpectedly. He was acting up mad at me cos I didn't text him that I was there.

These are my good and crazy friends that I spent my Friday with:

I don't know what I had that night but when I woke up the next day I got a lot of self-control and self-realization about one thing: I'm done making myself worry and feel like crap over someone who is so obviously not feeling the same towards me. It's not like I want us to be together together but if we're going to be in just for fun then be consistent about it. Don't go texting me every day and calling me every single night after we've kissed and then when I say I want to see you, you'd say "next time" and when you say "let's have dinner/watch a movie/go to there and there" it doesn't happen. What is up with that?!
I'm through with that kind of thing. If it's for fun, stick with it. And thank you for last Friday you drew the last straw.

This is why Friday has always been my favorite day of the week. Something good always (well, almost always) happen. Fridays are great! At least last Friday was. I wonder how this coming Friday would be. Hopefully, as fun as last week's or maybe even better. :)

You guys have any plans yet?

Tuesday Night Out.

I went out last Tuesday night for a change. I don't usually do night outs during week days so it was a first for me. I was with a couple of friends, 3 to be exact, at Source in Ortigas. I first met up with Anna and Ace for dinner at Uncle Moe's which is just a few steps away from Source. After dinner, the three of us walked straight to meet up with another friend of mine, Apple. It was actually Apple's college friends who invited us to the place. They were like promoting it every Tuesday nights or so. It wasn't exactly a club like Embassy or Ascend but it was a pretty cool place to have drinks, and the DJ's cool too.

Ace, Mara and Anna.

Apple, Mara and Anna.

My BB and Artic.

I actually had a good time that night. With 2 glasses of Kurant+Sprite, 2 shots of Tequila and 1 glass of Artic Melon+Sprite, I ended up feeling high minus the drugs, talked a lot and laughed even at the corniest things (not necessarily jokes). It was fun! I should do it often instead of just sulking around at home by myself. Pretty healthy minus the alcohol. At least I get to go out, socialize, talk to people other than my online friends or the people here at home.

Next time, I'll enjoy myself even MORE and stay LONGER and fight the sudden attack of "homesickness" or the urge to get home just cos I miss someone online who obviously couldn't care less if I show up on or not.  Whatevs.

I can't wait for another night out like this! :)

Her first day.

As I've mentioned in my earlier entry, my friend already arrived yesterday at 4 AM. My 2 friends and I who are going to pick her up and her brother at the airport were late by an hour cos their flight weren't supposed to arrive until 5:05 AM. PAL schedules are either super early or super late. Never on time.

We weren't that late, we arrived before 6 AM at the airport. Went straight to their house in QC to dislodge their luggage and pick up their parents. Kuya Paul drove their car with their parents and Kat rode with us. We had breakfast at Pancake House in Metrowalk. It was a good 1 and a half drive because of the super heavy traffic yesterday.

We were all starving when we got there  and we all ordered Beef Tapa except for Kat's mom who ordered Omelette instead. After about an hour of eating, we went our separate ways. Us 4 headed to Apple's dorm to pass an hour of waiting for the opening of the malls.

10 AM we headed on to Megamall to buy leggings. Only the two Katrinas bought cos as much as I want to, I don't really have the budget to buy anything (except for food) at the moment.
Then we went to Shangri-La to watch The Day The Earth Stood Still at 12:20 PM screening. I'm going to write a review about that movie later.

Ate soup and some dimsum at Mongkok after. The service yesterday there sucked bigtime! We were all irritated because first, 2 of us (Abs and Apol) didn't really get enough decent sleep and 2 of us (Kat and I) didn't sleep AT ALL, second, we only asked for house water and we asked for it more than 3 times before they served it to us, third, Apol ordered Buchi, we waited for more than 15 minutes and we followed it up after that only to find out that we have to wait for another 15-20 minutes because they just cooked it so cancelled it and asked for the bill instead. We waited another 5 minutes for the bill to arrive. Annoyed, irritated and pissed we paid the exact amount and didn't leave them any tip! Here's the greatest part of all, there weren't even that many guests eating! There were only about 3-4 other tables occupied with only 3-5 persons sitting. How great a service is that?

Moving on, we strolled around for a couple of minutes before deciding to retire. Our group driver, drove us all home. Kat first, me second and Apol third. Heavy traffic as usual. Thank you big time Abs!

When I got home at around 6 PM, I just ate a bowl of Cheerios, brushed my teeth, changed my clothes and hit the sack already. I slept for a good 14-15 hours! I was so sleepy and tired that I didn't even have the energy to accompany my mom to her nail spa appointment earlier today at 10 AM.

I have a couple of things to blog about today so I'll get started with the others.

See you!

Before I leave...

I just want to make a quick post about this:

My 2 girl friends and I are going to pick up Kat, our dear friend, from the airport in a couple of minutes. We haven't seen her for a year! Or was it two? But anyways, we're excited to have her back this Christmas season.

My friends are supposed to pick me up anytime soon. I stayed up the whole night! Not because I'm too excited or anything, I just don't think I'd be able to get up this early and have time to take a shower PLUS the weather is crazy. It's raining so hard and that would most probably make me too lazy to open my eyes if I slept.

Hello, zombie.

Would update later when I get back home.

Bye!

My First Baby Shower!

The husband and wife and the soon-to-be parents of Lucas Miguel Torres.

Me and Mhe: Loves!
I missed you! You look so pretty being preggy. :)

It was not my baby shower. It was my high school friend and my Loves', Mary Rose Sunga Torres, with her soon-to-be-delivered baby, Lucas Miguel Torres. The Miguel of course came from the husband's name cos she wanted a Miguel also. I'm not sure about the Lucas part though.

It was nice seeing some old faces from high school cos I don't get to hang out with them often. Plus, it was super nice also cos last night was the first time I got to attend a baby shower. LOL!

Mhe and Migby looks so cute and sweet together. I now wanna husband! Hahahaha!

Can't wait for next month for the baby to pop out of that tummy of yours Loves! Make sure to text me and all of us WHILE you're giving birth! Hahahaha!

Take care!!

Hugs,
Mara

Fun Fun Night.

I had a fun fun night last night with some of my LCC grade school friends. After 9 years of not seeing each other, we decided to plan a get together for all of us and even though we were only 14 (we were supposed to be 20 plus if complete) we still had a blast reminiscing about our grade school days.

I hope to see you all again soon!

Happy Birthday Jiggy.

Happy 21st birthday Jiggyboy!
The birthday celebrant posing with his giveaway look-a-likes. :)

Well, belated that is.

We celebrated one of my college friend's birthday last night at Fish&Co. in Shangri-La Mall. Great food but too bad we were only 8 including the birthday celebrant. His mom reserved the whole first floor for the "surprise" party with a minimum of 30 pax and only 7 of us showed up. I felt kind of sad the surprise didn't go too well. It could have been more fun if we were at least 15. It was almost a reunion for us. Anyway, there were many left-overs since it was buffet so, his mom let us take home all of it. Divided by 5.

I hope next party at least half of the invited could make it.

Hugs,
Mara

I'm not looking good here courtesy of 3 bottles of San Mig light and chocolate cake plus the fact that I feel so sleepy already and it's raining hard outside.
From my phone: A photo of me and my inay, Ms. E. She's wearing white just to be safe cos we were seated at the boundary of Green and Blue and I'm green and she's the latter.

The Champions: Ateneo Blue Eagles
The photo's kind of blurry, it's the last shot from my cam cos I was low batt already.
